A cool Spring flowed into a dry, intense Sumer. This perfect weather continued into a long Fall with ideal ripening conditions - a great season. Crafted from a single block of our Simes Vineyard, the 2021 Simes Vineyard Transcendence is our deepest and darkest Pinot Noir. The unique character of the isolated, close-planted vines, the tiny bunches fermented with whole clusters, and the prolonged ripening period in our cool, north-exposed vineyard parcel push the boundaries of what's possible in winemaking.
